Forever Young | BBL HEROic and MOXI by Sciton
Forever Young is a signature protocol at Well Aging Clinic Athens that brings two Sciton technologies into a single approach to long-term skin quality.
BBL HEROic by Sciton addresses pigmentation and redness through light. MOXI by Sciton, a 1927nm non-ablative fractionated laser, refines tone and texture. The philosophy is Well Aging rather than anti-aging. The aim is skin that stays healthy, even and resilient across years, not a single dramatic correction.
What Forever
Young treats
The protocol works on the visible signs of skin aging. It targets pigmentation from long-term UV exposure and lentigo solaris, diffuse redness, uneven tone, and surface roughness. Across a consistent routine, the result is clearer, more uniform, better quality skin.
How the two devices work together
BBL HEROic by Sciton delivers BroadBand Light absorbed by pigment and by the vessels behind redness. MOXI by Sciton then treats the skin with fractionated 1927nm energy to encourage renewal and refine texture. BBL HEROic offers four times the peak power, twice the cooling and three times the speed of the original BBL platform, which allows precise, comfortable sessions. Colour and quality are two different problems. Used together, the devices address both in a way neither does alone.

The science behind
Forever Young
Forever Young rests on research from the Stanford University School of Medicine. In a pilot study led by dermatologist Dr Anne Lynn S. Chang, published in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology, BroadBand Light treatment shifted the gene expression pattern of aged human skin toward that of younger skin. Of approximately 2,265 coding and non-coding RNAs whose expression is altered by skin aging, around 1,293 moved back toward youthful levels after treatment.
A separate long-term evaluation by Dr Patrick Bitter Jr found that a blinded panel of physician evaluators judged patients following a regular BBL routine to appear around nine years younger than their actual age.
Gene expression describes which genes are active and how strongly. This is a change in that activity, measured through RNA. It is not a change to DNA.
Who Forever
Young is for
Forever Young suits people who want to protect and improve skin quality steadily rather than correct it once. It fits those focused on prevention, on an even complexion maintained over time, and on a continuing relationship with their doctor. Suitability and settings are established in consultation, with particular attention to skin type.
What to expect
Sessions are comfortable and typically require no anaesthetic cream. Downtime is low to none. Visible improvement generally appears within one to two weeks. Because Forever Young is a maintenance philosophy rather than a single event, results build and hold when the protocol is repeated as a routine, at Well Aging Clinic Athens usually around three sessions across the year.
Forever Young at Well Aging Clinic Athens
The protocol is delivered by Dr Dimitris Sykianakis and Dr Athina Evangelodimou, combining internationally recognised injectable and clinical experience with a dermatology-led focus on skin quality and prevention. [Exclusivity wording to be confirmed before publication.]
What is Forever Young BBL?
A Sciton protocol using BroadBand Light to improve pigmentation, redness, tone and texture and to support skin quality over time. At Well Aging Clinic Athens it is combined with MOXI by Sciton for further refinement.
Is Forever Young the same as anti-aging?
No. The clinic frames it as Well Aging. The goal is long-term skin health and quality, not the erasure of every sign of age.
Does Forever Young change your DNA?
No. Research shows it shifts gene expression, meaning which genes are active, toward a younger pattern. DNA itself is not altered.
How often is Forever Young performed?
It works as an ongoing routine, at this clinic typically around three sessions per year, confirmed with your doctor.
Is there downtime?
Downtime is low to none. Most patients return to normal activity quickly, and visible results generally appear within one to two wee
Is Forever Young suitable for my skin type?
Light-based treatments require assessment of skin type before treatment. Settings are selected individually, and suitability is confirmed at consultation.
